In August 2007 the DPSG Diocese Scout Association Limburg
(Germany) stayed with 570 scouts of every ager (8-21 years old) two
weeks at Naesbycenter. There are lots of things to tell about the
camp, the camp site … so you will find a small abstract of
possibilities only :
Before the DSL (so we called our camp):
Permanent and friendly E-Mail contact to the Naesby staff with
lots of useful information concerning the site, the surrounding and
so on.

Staff:
"Nothing is impossible!" Very friendly and helpful staff! They
organised everything we wanted and also had great ideas, e. G.
offering icecream on the final evening to our scouts. They managed
within one day only to organise two icecream making machines and
even engaged to men to serve the kids.
Camp grounds:
Large camp site with lots of separate meadows - perfectly suitable
to organise in sub camps; campfires were allowed everywhere.
Firewood and Construction Wood:
There was enough wood for campfires as well as to use it for camp
constructions.
Arena + Flagging Site:
Perfectly suitable for our big and even bigger groups.
Material-Depot:
You can get everything you need. Just ask one of the staffs!
Workshops + Activities:
Very well organised, great ideas and suggestions for bigger group
activities (e. G. Stratego).
Kitchen and Food:
We had one central kitchen; it turned out to be not too easy to
get gas bottles in Denmark (Danish scouts mainly cook on
campfires); food could be ordered from the staff and was then
delivered directly to the camp site - this was very good service; a
big cooling van was available as well as a goulash canon which
could be run by firewood and was easy to handle.
Program at Scouting Sunrise:
Staff prepared breakfast for 1.000 scouts. Again, perfectly
organised as well as the smaller-group-activities at this special
day.
Surroundings:
Hikes are easy to do (even bigger groups did not have difficulty
in finding places to stay for the night; e. G. farms)
Resume - Summary:
Naesby Center is one of the most fantastic camp sites we have seen
so far!!! It is suitable for groups of every size and offers a wide
range of possible activities.
